Burning Man Festival Wedding Inspiration

Wedding Design

Photos by:

Mr & Mrs Unique

Today’s festival shoot is daring, electric and seriously sparkling. With a rock ’n’ roll meets disco vibe, there are eye-catching details around every corner of this bedazzled beach canvas. Incorporating a bright collage of geometric confetti-like shapes, the invitation suite is almost holographic at first glance. Marbled fudge shards beg to be noticed as they sit in a tight cluster atop a 5-tiered whimsical wonder that is simply magnetic. (The cake may be sugar coated, but our words sure aren’t!) Feathers, sequins and other shimmering effects abound in the myriad of scenes brought to us in this shoot, and the wild + free theme is tied together perfectly with a pink smoke bomb that exceeds all expectations. We are oh so thankful for Mr & Mrs Unique, The Bijou Bride, and Studio 1208, the creative geniuses that brought this vision to life!

From the event designer, Mr & Mrs Unique: I have always had a big love for the festival scene. There is something about the combination of people, music, art, food and style that makes my heart sing. The Burning Man festival really celebrates self- expression; with their huge art installations and out-there fashion. Taking this as inspiration, we wanted to create a new ‘festival bride’ style; mixing high-end bridal designers with high street and festival fashion brands.

Where do I Sit? 7 Seating Chart Questions Answered

Wedding Planning

Photos by:

You’ve toured the venue, tasted the food, selected the entertainment and said yes to the dress – the planning + design process has been everything you dreamed it would be, but now it’s time to get to the nitty gritty logistics of it all. We’re talking about the overwhelming task of organizing your seating chart. You’re probably donning all of your hats – hostess, diplomat, maybe even matchmaker – sitting on the floor amidst pencil shavings and sticky notes, wondering where to even begin! Well invite your MOH to take part in the fun, pull out the Pinot Grig and relax knowing that it doesn’t have to be a chore. We’ve invited Morgan Miller, owner of Spreading Lovely, to help you navigate through it all! Read on for some of the most common seating chart questions answered.

Morgan ends with a great point: “Remember, it is difficult to please everyone and ultimately your guests are there to celebrate your love and show support for your marriage. So don’t overthink it!” Now who’s ready to take on this task?

Spreading Lovely is based in the Bay Area and offers Full Service Planning and Event Design. Check out her website to learn more!

Don’t let the industrial setting of this stylish inspiration shoot fool you — the complementary light blue and purple tones are reminiscent of the great City of Lights. With a bit of classic beauty and an infusion of modern style (we see you, top-and-skirt bridal combo), this shoot from Minneapolis vendors Yantes Photo, Belle Noelle Events & Design, and Maven shows what this city has to offer and inspires us from beginning to end!

From the photographers, Yantes Photo: The Machine Shop is a brand new, historic venue in the heart of the St. Anthony Main neighborhood in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Machine Shop will be the first of its kind in the Twin Cities; historic, luxurious, airy and bright. Built in 1916, the Machine Shop was originally part of the Pillsbury Mills, which was at one time the largest mill in the world. During restoration, many of the original architectural details were kept to highlight the venue’s historical background. The introduction of modern luxury in this industrial space and the neutral pallet yet upscale finishes on the historic structure allow Machine Shop’s clients to explore their own aesthetic without reinventing the space.
